Jacob's Ladder - A Jacob’s Ladder is the type of high voltage “climbing arc” display seen in many old (and usually bad) Sci-Fi movies. Jacob’s Ladder come in all shapes, styles, and sizes.
On the 19th of September 2007, HELiXATED.COM was taken offline due to... I should say, disciplinary issues concerning the owner. Almost exactly a month after the incident, I have decided to revive this blog
in its all-new glory. Relevant changes had to be made.
An account registration system has been implemented. While public posts will still be made, more private and sensitive issues
require an account to view. Registration is simple. Just refer to the... stuffs, on the left. Upon registering, I'll have to approve your account based first. I'll only accept people who I know, friends of people who I know, and friends of friends of people who I know... and that's pretty much everyone. Eh.
Oh and one more thing. This is a disclaimer that everything and anything mentioned on this blog
COMPLETELY does not reflect the opinion of the owner. All characters and events
described in this blog are fictional. The ideas and characters are
the figments of my imagination, and any resemblance to real life people, either
living or dead, is purely coincidental. Don't believe in anything.
Unless, of course, I tell you to do so.
Cheers!

HELiX Comic: Now That Can’t Be Right
It’s ONE day before Prelims, and I decided to do a webcomic. So now I’m looking to adopt a religion for the next three weeks — any idea which faith has the highest success rate?
Anyway, here goes:

08.08.08, Olympics and NDP
With so many things going on right now, I neglected my Prelims for 2 days for a couple of stuffs.
08.08.08
Hailey Jo Hauer was born on the eighth day of the eighth month in 2008 at 8:08 a.m. So it wouldn’t make sense for her to weigh anything other than eight pounds, eight ounces.
On the very same day, possibly starting at 8.08pm, Mother China had its opening ceremony for the Beijing Olympic Games.
Now, the Olympics is a beautiful thing. Of humanity. Of sportmanship. Of doping and cheating.
I agree with all… except the first two.
This has to be one of the funniest, yet saddest, Youtube videos ever. And it isn’t Randy Pausch.
You’d feel really sorry for the swimmers who were disqualified for jumping in way too early. I did. To train so hard and lose over something like that.
And then you’ll laugh hard at Eric Moussambani struggling to complete just 100m of freestyle.
Of course, most people watched that video and just stopped there. With Moussambani clocking in a timing for the 100m more than twice the world record, and even outside of the 200m world record.
But you see… before coming to the Olympics, Moussambani had never seen a 50m long Olympic-size swimming pool. He took up swimming only 8 months before the Olympics and had practiced in a 20m pool at a hotel in Malabo.
And the commentators were a bunch of complete jerks.
At least, for once, we can be sure that he wasn’t doping.
He was in the Olympics. I was not.
Him > Us.
National Day Parade
If you thought the above was courageous, this is a more inspiring story of braving the rain, crowd and having no tickets.
I know you know what I know I have to do every year.
Merlion - The beast which adds oil to fire, providing artificial rain when the weather had it covered.

9th of August!
It’s THAT day of the year again!
On August 9, 1945, The United States exploded an atomic bomb over Nagasaki, Japan, killing an estimated 74,000 people.
Bastards took away every single possibility of us having a dedicated Japanese channel airing free anime 24/7.

No Chemistry with Organic Chemistry
I like Chemistry. It’s beautiful science.
But the above image represents what Organic Chemistry is at the A-levels.
Not really. That just covers the Aliphatic compounds. I probably need another diagram, equally as messy, to cover the Aromatic compounds.
I don’t like how Cambridge expects us to remember all the webs of interconnected Organic Chemistry. If the whole picture of the web breaks at somepoint in your memory, you’re pretty much screwed.
And I can’t seem to memorise the reagents and conditions needed. And then all the mechanisms.
Ugh.

School Life
It’s really difficult to blog about something outside of school life because the uneventfulness of having no more CCAs gets you like that.
But you see, I have a pretty fun class.
While Kok whines about how he’s in the Mugging God Generals class, my class comes up with ridiculous stuff in the weeks before Prelims.
It’s unfortunate that Deyong removed his entry about being labeled the Fat Bitch which would have saved me a lot of trouble.
Well, one fine day, Deyong and Minhao sat together in some tutorial class.
Now that’s like the space-time continuum collapsing or God dividing by 0.
In just 40 minutes, Deyong emerged from the friendly discussion as Fat Bitch. While Minhao got away with King Bitch.
And just today, the guys in my class decided that being an SB class, we should be called Super Bitches. So began the March of the Bitches.
Shern Shern became Monk Bitch.
Soe Min was awarded Burmese Bitch.
Benjy was proclaimed Chicken Bitch.
And I was given the choice of Astronomy Bitch or Geek Bitch.
