NOTICE

On the 19th of September 2007, HELiXATED.COM was taken offline due to... I should say, disciplinary issues concerning the owner. Almost exactly a month after the incident, I have decided to revive this blog in its all-new glory. Relevant changes had to be made.

An account registration system has been implemented. While public posts will still be made, more private and sensitive issues require an account to view. Registration is simple. Just refer to the... stuffs, on the left. Upon registering, I'll have to approve your account based first. I'll only accept people who I know, friends of people who I know, and friends of friends of people who I know... and that's pretty much everyone. Eh.

Oh and one more thing. This is a disclaimer that everything and anything mentioned on this blog COMPLETELY does not reflect the opinion of the owner. All characters and events described in this blog are fictional. The ideas and characters are the figments of my imagination, and any resemblance to real life people, either living or dead, is purely coincidental. Don't believe in anything.

Unless, of course, I tell you to do so.

Cheers!

That’s Hot

When you have a room which was converted from the balcony, with 2 sides being full-length glass windows from waist-level to the ceiling facing the outside, and having glass sliding doors to complete the design which should look like modern contemporary living…

My fireproof curtains ain’t gonna help.

Ten Days After Its Worldwide Release…

…and The Dark Knight continues to obliterate box office records.

The epic Batman saga pushed its domestic total to US$314,245,000 in 10 days, which surpasses the record set in 2006 by “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest,” which took 16 days to make $300 million.

And also it busted records in its showings on IMAX screens, making $16.3 million in its first 10 days.

Now that’s already 5 records.

It’s expected that “The Dark Knight” could reach $400 million in about 18 days, which would beat the record “Shrek 2″ set in 2004 when it made that much money in 43 days.

However, it still has some way to go to beat Titanic as the as the highest-grossing film of all-time. It made $600,788,188 in the US alone, a record no other movie has come close to touching.

So I say, Sink the Titanic!

What I Didn’t See In St James Park, London

Whenever I chance upon a disturbing video, I think that I should share it with everyone right here. It’s only fair that everyone will have the same disturbing images going through their head for the coming days.

Viewed near three-quarters of a million times*, this is the original footage. Filmed by myself in St. James Park, London Sunday 7th August 2005.

I’d just finished film school and had hired a Z1 as a graduation present. Fifteen minutes after setting up, near Princess Diana’s Memorial Walk, this happened. In front of me with the camera rolling!

It’s been seen all over the world; on BBC World, MSNBC and in Canada.

Normally, that pelican is a lovely fellow and very friendly. He even likes his head to be scratched.
