LAB@HOME LATEST COMPLETED PROJECT

Jacob's Ladder - A Jacob’s Ladder is the type of high voltage “climbing arc” display seen in many old (and usually bad) Sci-Fi movies. Jacob’s Ladder come in all shapes, styles, and sizes.

NOTICE

On the 19th of September 2007, HELiXATED.COM was taken offline due to... I should say, disciplinary issues concerning the owner. Almost exactly a month after the incident, I have decided to revive this blog in its all-new glory. Relevant changes had to be made.

An account registration system has been implemented. While public posts will still be made, more private and sensitive issues require an account to view. Registration is simple. Just refer to the... stuffs, on the left. Upon registering, I'll have to approve your account based first. I'll only accept people who I know, friends of people who I know, and friends of friends of people who I know... and that's pretty much everyone. Eh.

Oh and one more thing. This is a disclaimer that everything and anything mentioned on this blog COMPLETELY does not reflect the opinion of the owner. All characters and events described in this blog are fictional. The ideas and characters are the figments of my imagination, and any resemblance to real life people, either living or dead, is purely coincidental. Don't believe in anything.

Unless, of course, I tell you to do so.

Cheers!

Image of the Day: Disney Nightmare

[YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!]

I’d bet that this is the strangest picture you’ll see today and double it.

I wanted to say something humorous or witty but this is just too disturbing for words.

The Tracey Ullman Sho- I mean, The Simpsons!

About time I blogged about it huh?

Watched The Simpsons Movie a couple of days ago, and it really mattered because this is a show which I probably spent more time watching it than sleeping. 400 episodes, 18 seasons, 23 Emmy Awards, 20 years, longest running American sitcom and animated series, $5 billion in revenue, you get where I’m going.

I am utterly embarrassed to annouce that I still haven’t watched 3 seasons of it because they took it off the Internet. Damn FOX Network!

The Simpsons Movie was just what every episode of Simpsons should be like. Hilarious and- Simpson-nish.

I could probably tell you how awesome it was to see Itchy/Hillary winning the 2008 elections, or how the spider pig came into existence, or how Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth turned into An Irritating Truth, but it just doesn’t work like this. You gotta watch it!

But-but-buuut the movie isn’t without the issues that a true Simpsons fan would dislike, like:

Why the hell is so many scenes in 3D? Or rather, 2.5D? It’s supposed to be all… untextured 2D drawings.

The credits were wrong! Maggie’s first words were ‘Daddy’, at the end of some episode about how Homer trying to get her to call him Daddy (’cos Bart calls him "Homer" like LOL).

There were many D’oh’s, many Why-You-Little’s, many HA-HA’s, but that’s about all the catchphrases they used. No Aye-Carumba’s, no Excellent’s, and other familiar stuffs.

The 87 minutes length isn’t exactly long enough to do justice to 18 seasons of Simpsons, and I actually preferred if they didn’t linger on the environment theme because (a) Live Earth is over (b) they had environmental themes in some episodes before!

But all-in-all it’s still awesomely hilarious, and a must-watch because you ought to be a Simpsons fan if you [most likey] aren’t!

Messenger Irony

So, the other day, me and Kok were talking about gaming and studies. Like, how he still games and gets BABA grades. Like, how a top gamer in Singapore was from RJC. Like, how 1nertia tries to convince himself to stop gaming and study, maybe he succeeds, maybe he didn’t, but he’s an emo ass over studies now[1].

So, today, I was looking through my list of MSN WIndows Live Messenger contacts and came across this ironic nick of XJ:

OKAY IF YOU DONT PLAY CS MAAAAYBE YOU WON’T UNDERSTAND BUT THAT’S PRETTY SAD >.>

SMU Doubles Challenge

I joined my first bowling competition [as a participant] at the 1st SMU Doubles Challenge today.

$20 for registration, not too bad I guess. I mean, it’s bowling after all…

I think I did pretty okay, considering that I started competitive bowling only in April.

3 games, I got: 124, 158 and 177.

Averaging with a 153.

Which isn’t a great score at all, but I’m just glad that I’m able to match up with those who have been in this sport for 3/4 years.
