Ok, after building the cap bank a few days ago, I had another shot with the full setup.

After asking GGY for some advice… As you can see from the above picture, the arcing is actually at the wire. Yes, the 20000 Volts just jumped right through the insulation of the wire. I thought it was rather thick actually… but no, I should have gotten HV Wires (High Voltage) but that’s pretty expensive.

Here’s the original, with no sparking.

GGY recommends that I can try threading the wires through fish tank tubings, sort of adding extra insulation. And that’s cheap too.

So… I just sent my Dad on a Fish Tank Shopping trip.

This morning I woke up, feeling terrible. It just felt… wrong.

I struggled my way downstairs, into the kitchen, and dropped immediately on my mum’s sofa.

In school, I felt equally ill, so I’ll sit down whenever I can. I wanted to just… drop flat on the floor any instant. Yes, that bad.

Incredibly, the air-con of the badminton hall was able to subdue the fever, I made it through both papers.

Skipped lunch, forced myself to eat something just now but my appetite isn’t there.

And right now, as I sit in front of the computer, half of my mind wondering about tomorrow’s 3 hour chinese paper. I’m sweating. And my head hurts. I think I’ll be going to sleep… for once, I’m giving up the computer. Cool.

Being sick is just so horrible.

I can’t believe how much I screwed up today.

Term exams suck. No, I don’t mean it the way every other student say it, but y’know, this time it seriously sucks.

GP, I just couldn’t rephrase everything in my own words well. My vocabulary bank just went blank.

Chemistry, I… I don’t know. It just didn’t feel right. I studied this the most, and I’m not one bit confident at all.

Whatever the case, perhaps the horribleness of the situation can be summarised by that fact that I didn’t finish either paper.

So, I’m feeling so terrible, then I looked at the exam time table… Right. Tomorrow… Econs… Shit. Nevermind, everyone will fail with me. Maths… I’ll go in with whatever knowledge I had for O Levels.

And then-then-then-then-theeeeen I saw the following day, Wednesday.

30 mins into any Chinese paper and I’m bored. An hour, my backside is itchy. 1h 30 mins, I’ll rejoice when the teacher stops everyone from writing any further, because I’ve done just that an hour and twenty minutes ago.

Ok, exaggerated, but it’s the pointlessness of Chinese in my life.
