Marking days

Posted by HELiX

These 3 days of marking days were originally planned by the school for the sec 4s for some kinda Mock Exams, and then they changed the term to Timed Practices, and now it’s more of Time Wasting.

Well anyways, today was Day 1 of Time Wasti- I mean, Timed Practices.

So, I woke up at an obscene timing of, well, standard school days. And then I tried to study some stuffs for Time Wasti- I mean, Timed Practices.

8.00am came and we went up to the hall, blah blah blah, took our seats, blah blah blah, only to be told this:

Mr Loh: All Physics students, please take out your own physics work to do, for the next 2 and a half hours.

4P1: Haaaahhh?!
4P2: Haaaahhh?!
4P3: Haaaahhh?!
4P4: Haaaahhh?!

And so we proceeded back to our classrooms shortly, and there, I managed to do the physics papers for about an hour and a half… and I slept. And I woke up, did another MCQ qns, and slept again. And I woke up once again, did another MCQ qns, and slept again. And so on.

Then it was Social Studies, and at least this time they made us do a timed paper in the hall. Well… my point is that, that could damn well be done at home.

As far as I’m bothered to concern about, today was simply some horrible Timed Wasting sessions which robbed me of my sleep, and if all goes well, I don’t plan to go school tomorrow. And the following day too.

Woohoo! … Damn.

Mixed feelings right now.

Woohoo! If my estimation is correct, I will NOT have anymore amath lessons… for the rest of my life. The Days of Suffering are over!

Damn, sec 1-3 exams are over, and there’s still slightly over a month for me to suffer.

And yup, as you can see, I’ve added a huge load of garbage to the front page for… the sheer fun of it.

Hmm… just some news that I find apparently interesting.

TOKYO (AP) - A Japanese mental health counsellor recited pi to 100,000 decimal places from memory Wednesday, setting what he claims is a world record. Akira Haraguchi, 60, needed more than 16 hours to recite the number to 100,000 decimal places, breaking his personal best of 83,431 digits set in 1995, his office said Wednesday. He made the attempt at a public hall in Kisarazu, just east of Tokyo.

Ok… so some mental health counsellors needs mental health counsellors.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) — The online search giant Google Inc. is in talks to purchase the closely held Web sharing sensation YouTube for around $1.6 billion, according to a report published Friday.

And tho this might seemingly be insignificant to everyone, to Google fanboys like me, it means… uhh… ehh… mmm… it mea- it means… something good you see.

….

And the stupidest bad joke I’ve seen a loooong while…

ROFLMAO.

From what I heard, it is set up by some marketing student from Singapore, who tried to do… Serious Marketing Business. Yup. Serious, Marketing, Business.

And for a start, he’s pretty bad at it. Of all the professional games in the world, he decided to choose… Defence of the Ancients! (no offence DotA gamers ^^)

What he simply did was to interview the top DotA clans in Singapore, namely Zenith and ExsequoR, and… planned to exploit the n00bs in the community with a joke book. Seemingly, all he did was to make a joke out of himself.

Hm. Vlee wants all the amath papers done by tomorrow, and I have 3 to go. That’s about 6 hours of focused uninterrupted work, blah blah, and since I’m only human, that’s not possible and I’ll just die tomorrow. Wowee.

Well anyways, stayed back with the juniors today to help them with math, which was supposedly the primary objective, but I didn’t quite think that was accomplished. Instead, we… err… uhh… mmm…. rofl.

Shaun came along, and I decided to introduce him to Weide’s 5 year series bio skillz.

Shaun: That’s sick.
.
.
.
Shaun: That’s sick.
.
.
.
Shaun: OMG sick.
.
.
.
Shaun: You should join science quiz.

Rofl. And just over the weekend:

[TWIS]…. just when olevels is coming, neopets had to go introduce a new plot said:
wow, i was doing o level geo ten years series this afternoon

Heh.

And it was also awfully kind of Vlee to drop by.

Vlee: Derek, you can teach maths ar?!
Me: E-maths.
Vlee: Waah, surprising lor…
Me: Thanks.

Ehh. Today was the last ever PE I’m gonna have in BP, so despite my blisters and bruises, I insisted on playing soccer!

And now my blisters just multiplied twofold.

Well, it was a soccer game between 4P3 and 4P1. Irresistably fun.

And I made a challenge on Mr Tom Chan, who was playing for 4P1, and went in for tackle. I didn’t make any contact, and he tripped over the ball he was dribbling, fell, and everyone thought I made him fall =____=

For the rest of the schooling hours, my feet was hurting so seriously bad that I decided to stuff my entire socks with tissue to reduce the friction. It helped quite a bit, and since I screwed myself from playing soccer for the next week or so, I went straight to teaching the astro juniors chemistry!

First thing I went there, I saw Weide doing 5 years series O Level Bio, I went WTF! ^^

And then he asked me to test him bio, another WTF! ^^

The juniors were verging on a game called MRT, or was it a MRT game, or was it a MRT called… Ah nevermind. But then, we amazingly went back to chemistry.

It was insanely fun to begin with, altho evidently I was the one gettin’ bullied. I mean, I get hit on the head with a file by a girl, what can I do? Ahh but what the heck, it wasn’t easy to explain such easy stuffs like mass number in… easier terms. =X

I do hope that they ultimately did learn something in the end, knowing my awful explanations and diagrams.

Right, so the entire school is left with 4 days or so to suffer, and we sec 4s are left with about a month. Oh teh pain!

The school’s concept of student welfare went up from incredibly pathetic, to… mediocre! ^^

Well, today they incredibly officially allowed those who needn’t need to stay for the incredible chemistryconsultations, to leave incredibly early!

So all I had to do was attend an incredibly sleepy 1h 15mins of amath timed practice in the hall, and we were officially off at an incredible time of 3.15pm!

Annnnd. We decided to play soccer again.

Right, so after a hour or two of soccer, I’m incredibly tired and… I don’t plan to play soccer for the next few days, for a few incredible reasons; (a) I’m incredibly tired; (b) I spent about 3 dollars on three 100-plus’s to survive the equator heat; (c) I screwed the soles of my shoes which screwed the soles of my foot; (d) I have successfully acquired 2 blisters and a minor bruise from the screwed soles.

And now I can’t walk without feeling the pain.

Ouch.
